Started in 1975 and incorporated in 1995, J L Roberts Industries, Inc., dba
American Hydraulics offers North Central Texas a full service hydraulic cylinder
repair facility with a wide range of capabilities: manufacture hydraulic cylinders
built to customer specs for any application; rebuild (remanufacture) or repair hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, hydraulic actuators, hydraulic valves, hydraulic power units and hydraulic repair
parts for all types of cylinders. We can source (MRO or OEM) any hydraulic or pneumatic component used on heavy equipment and machinery today. Our
trained technicians are specialist in all brands. Click repair request to submit

Need a special cylinder, one you can't find or maybe a custom power unit for
a special piece of equipment or machinery that you have? Our machinists can fabricate a new one from your drawings or your sample. Our technicians can help
you design your complete cylinder or complete power unit for whatever application you may need. Our website has a sample drawing with a spec sheet that you can
fill out in order to receive a quote with delivery on a Custom Cylinder. If you
need us to install your custom cylinder or power unit, it's no problem. We can
also repair your power unit - just bring it to us or ship it to us and we will break it down and give you a quote with delivery.
Bring your mobile heavy equipment or truck that needs hydraulic repairs to us.
We can remove the parts that need repair - repair the parts - reinstall the parts -
and then test the complete unit. When you pick it up it will be ready to go.
Have a large gear box that needs repair? A large gear that needs pressed off the
shaft? We have the presses to do the job and can machine a new shaft for the
gear box. We machine pinsor bearings for any application.
Have a piece of equipment or machinery thats broken down? Our outside field technicians have fully equipped service trucks and may provide analysis, perform breakdown and delivery. When possible - our technicians carry equipment so they can perform repairs in the field . They can test equipment such as large excavators and drilling rigs. Extra support technicians are available if required. Our field technicians are limited to within 300 miles of the Dallas - Fort Worth area but check
with us if you need help - we make exceptions.
We carry a large in-house inventory of standard and metric size seals, u-rings,
o-rings, gaskets, hydraulic filters, hydraulic fittings, weld-on fittings and adapters
for most manufactured cylinders. Call with your seal kit # - click parts quote
or bring your seals by to match up. We also have an In-house inventory of
standard and metric size chrome rods and honed tubing for manufacturing
or repair of cylinders.
Our service facility has (2) 50 foot and (4) 30 foot cylinder test stands;
(14) lathes with capabilities to swing up to 30 feet long by 41 inch diameter;
(5) end mills; (2) horizontal hones capable of 30 feet long by 23 inch diameter;
50hp/100hp and 150hp electric pump motor test stands.

We have always been American Hydraulics but so many companies use "American Hydraulics" as part of their name that we thought it would be hard to find us online
and confusing to potential customers so we created a new division within our corporation.
